IDEOLOGY OR PROPAGANDA
Question :
Based on the poster, what is the ideology/propaganda message?
Answer :
Answer :
The figure above shows the poster of a quote by Malcolm X, based on that poster what I can clarify is he trying to tell people how big is the impact of mass media in our society. This is an ideology to tell people that whatever news that spread by mass media is not all of them are valid.
For me, as a reader, we need to always analyze every news that we read so that we can know if it's true or not. Today, social medias like YouTube, Facebook and Twitter make it easy for ordinary individuals to create or disseminate propaganda. It may use partially true or incomplete information that comes from a source that looks authentic, but is controlled by sources that are disguised as a diversion to the truth, can be beneficial or harmful. It may use truth, half-truths or lies, do not believe everything that you read or hear on the news.

Yes, mass media has make many kind of impact to the society. Most of the stories is not real and exaggerate. Even worst, the social medias has make really critical issues about everything that posted. Only a part of the information that can be trusted. The words "it may use truth, half-truths or lies" is totally right, we cannot really believe whatever is posted or heard.
ReplyDeleteYes, the use of facts and half-truths to fuel propaganda is used by authentic sources like big news outlets and even government sources. This is harmful to the general public, especially older generations who have limited means for their news sources. Not everyone is fortunate enough to check the credibility of their sources due to language barriers and such so propaganda through these methods should be called out and stopped.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your statement that every individual need to analyze a news before they truly take into consideration about the information being given by the media .
